QAIC Dinner

We have once again been invited to provide our bands to perform for the Qualified Aerospace Instructors Graduation ‪dinner on Wednesday 3rd April‬. This normally includes several high profile guests including the Commandant, and usually at least one current serving Air Officer from the parent service.
This year the dinner is being held at RAFC Cranwell, and as such a small camp to support it will occur. Travel will be provided from Yorkshire on Tuesday 2nd April around 19:00, returning in the early evening of ‪Thursday 4th April.‬ Outside of rehearsing and performing, it is highly likely the band will get the opportunity to interesting RAF Sections as applicable (with last year seeing a guided tour of College Hall Officers Mess, the Commandant Air Cadets’ Office and 8 Sqn (Sentry aircraft) at RAF Waddington. It is anticipated costs will be minimal (sub £10).
Invitations are welcome from cadets playing Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute/Piccolo, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Saxophone, Bassoon, Trumpet/Cornet, Horn, Trombone, Tuba, Bass Guitar and Drum Kit.
Although this does fall during school time for some of the Wing, it will be classed as an educational visit under Code B or V of the Department for Education’s Education Regulations 2013, and as such schools should allow the time off if the cadets/parents desire.
